Birmingham is the vibrant heart of the Midlands and home to a thriving performing arts scene. Our Birmingham campus is based in Digbeth, the city’s creative quarter. Digbeth is a bohemian district well-known for its street art, independent bars, and shops. Digbeth is a short walk from Birmingham’s famous Bullring Shopping Centre, Grand Central Station, a diverse selection of restaurants, theatres, cinemas and tourist attractions.

With its rich history and industrial 19th-century architecture that provides a fascinating backdrop for the arts and culture of the city, Birmingham is an exciting and inspiring place to study.

 


Birmingham Facilities

Train at Performers College Birmingham in the heart of Digbeth, one of the city’s most creative and characterful neighbourhoods. Our purpose-built campus combines contemporary studio spaces, industry-standard technology, and a professional training environment, giving you everything you need to grow as a performer. Performers College Birmingham is part of BIMM University’s Birmingham campus.

Ballet Studio

This purpose-built ballet studio is set up for technique and rehearsal, with a professional dance floor, portable barres, and flexible studio lighting. The open layout and clear sightlines make it ideal for classes, warm-ups, and choreography sessions.

Theatre

Our spacious theatre is equipped with industry-standard technology including retractable bleacher seats, tech gantry, full sound and light system, and dual Panasonic projectors. A retractable wall allows two groups to rehearse simultaneously.

Acting Studios

Two spacious 'Black Box' acting studios equipped with professional sound and lighting systems. These versatile spaces are used for solo and group acting classes, scene work and rehearsals.

Dance Studios

Our six dance studios feature professional Harlequin Cascade floors, full-height wall mirrors and barres. These generous spaces support multiple dance styles, from contemporary and ballet to salsa and hip hop.

Screening Room

A dedicated screening room shared with our Screen and Film School faculty, featuring a 136-inch screen with surround sound and LED lighting for viewings, playback and college events.

Vocal Rooms

Three dedicated singing studios for vocal training, tutorials and rehearsal. Each room contains a piano, mixer, mirrors, TV and Adam Audio monitors for listening back to performances.

Mac Suites

Two Mac suites with Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, available for all students. Each workstation includes licensed software from Adobe, DaVinci, Logic and more for creating showreels and digital content.

Communal Space

Student-only space for relaxing, socialising and grabbing a snack between classes. Features plenty of seating, table space and vending machines.
