Performers College Brighton

Brighton is one of the UK’s most creative and characterful cities, with a performing arts scene rooted in self-expression, individuality, and a genuine love of live performance. From its iconic seafront to its bohemian Lanes, this is a city where artistic ambition feels completely at home. Beach life, bold ideas, and a fiercely independent creative community make Brighton unlike anywhere else in the country.

As a student here, you’ll find an environment that encourages you to take creative risks, develop your own artistic voice, and build the foundations for a long and varied career in the performing arts.

Brighton Facilities

Train at Performers College Brighton in The Circle, a substantial performing arts complex on the seafront in Portslade. Combining professional theatre spaces, dance studios, a motion capture suite, and generous communal areas, The Circle offers a unique training environment unlike most in the UK. You’ll also have opportunities to use facilities at BIMM Music Institute and MetFilm School when working on collaborative projects. Performers College Brighton is part of BIMM University’s Brighton campus.

Theatre

Our main theatre seats 150 people and features a sprung floor with a full professional sound and lighting rig. Two smaller black box spaces each cater to audiences of 60, with professional lighting, sound, and access to a substantial prop and costume store.

Dance Studios

Our four spacious dance studios all feature sprung floors, full-height wall mirrors, ballet barres, PA systems, and pianos. These versatile spaces support a wide range of dance styles and are complemented by four additional rehearsal spaces across the campus.

Motion capture suite

One of the few facilities of its kind at a UK university, our motion capture suite allows acting and musical theatre students to translate movement into digital performance – for use in projects spanning film, video games, dance, and movement study.

Mac suite

Our Mac suite features 15 high-specification computers loaded with a range of audio and visual software for creative professionals. Every station is equipped with a recording interface and MIDI controller.

Communal space

Our main communal area has plenty of seating and vending machines for breaks between classes. The open-plan reception features amphitheatre seating and bookable study pods, ideal for individual or small group study.

Where to find us

Our Brighton campus is located at Circle Studios, a seafront venue in the coastal suburb of Portslade.

Portslade is a short bus ride from Brighton city centre, with easy access to the seafront, a selection of local restaurants, shops, and amenities on your doorstep.
