Amanda Alexander
Acting Lecturer
Amanda Alexander has been working in the acting industry for more than 25 years. She gained a scholarship to train at Arts Ed drama school and has since led a wide and varied career as an actress and voiceover artist.
Her career began with a one-woman musical show across Europe for 12 months, finishing with a run at The ICA on The Mall. She has since performed in several musicals and plays at The Young Vic Studio, Riverside Studios, Hampstead Theatre and Theatre Royal Brighton, as well as a number one tour of God of Carnage, directed by Matthew Warchus.
In television, Amanda has appeared in Doctor Who, Silent Witness, The Bill and, most recently, the second series of WAR.
As a successful voiceover artist, Amanda is also the voice of a series of National Geographic nature documentaries, along with many TV commercials and audiobooks.
Amanda is currently writing and developing a new musical, PTA The Musical, which showcased at The Other Palace in 2025.
As an Acting Lecturer, Amanda covers all acting techniques, including physical theatre, commedia dell'arte, animal transformation work and Shakespeare. She believes theatre is truly a sport and is passionate about storytelling.
