Joanne Darnell
Course Leader - CertHE and Trinity Diploma
Joanne trained at Laine Theatre Arts and, following graduation, embarked on a successful ten-year performing career.
Joanne then moved into choreography, working on television series, tours, music videos, corporate entertainment and fashion shows throughout the UK, Paris and New York. She became an integral member of the creative teams behind production shows for Jupiter's Hotel and Casino in Australia, Royal Palace Kirrwiller in France, and Casino Perla in Slovenia. Joanne has also created work for MSC and Costa Cruise Lines, bringing her extensive industry experience to a wide range of international productions.
After many years as a valued member of the Jazz Faculty, Joanne successfully led both the Pre-Vocational and Extended Diploma programmes, supporting and developing aspiring performers. She now heads both the Trinity Diploma and Higher Education courses, and has been instrumental in the development and launch of the new CertHE programme this September, helping to broaden progression opportunities for the next generation of musical theatre performers.
