Kira Morsley
Senior Lecturer - Voice and Acting
Kira Morsley (she/her) is an autistic actor and actor trainer, with over twenty years of experience as an actor in Australia and the UK.
She gained a Bachelor of Communications in Film and Video from Edith Cowan University, and a BA in Musical Theatre from WAAPA. She holds an MA in Actor Training and Coaching from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her thesis project, Be Yourself, But Not Like That: Autistic Masking, Representation and Identity in Actor Training, explored her experiences as an autistic actor and actor trainer.
At Performers College, Kira teaches across the Musical Theatre and Dance and Acting for Stage, Screen and Digital Media programmes, specialising in voice and text and classical text. She is also the Lead Lecturer of the Creative Spine (contextual studies) modules on the BA Acting programme.
In May 2025, she co-convened Stanislavsky and Neurodiversity, a symposium examining the intersection between Stanislavskian practice and neurodivergence in actor training, alongside fellow researchers Zoë Glen and Klara Hricik. This formed part of The S Word series of symposia, in collaboration with the Stanislavsky Research Centre. Kira has also presented at the AusAct Australian Actor Training Conference and the TaPRA Annual Conference.
