Kitty Ball
Principal Lecturer
Kitty Ball is an award-winning theatre director, writer, actor. Alongside her teaching, she maintains an active professional career across theatre, film and television, directing productions in London and the North West, including writing for BBC Sounds.
She has trained with ALRA North, the Young Vic's Springboard for Directors programme, and Theatre by the Lake's New Directions North, and has worked with organisations including Oldham Coliseum, Box of Tricks, Burning Brick Theatre and Rose Bruford College.
Before joining BIMM University, Kitty was Head of MA Directing, Foundation and TV & Film at Rose Bruford Wigan, helping establish the new campus following ALRA North's closure.
Her teaching spans acting, musical theatre, acting through song, screen performance and ensemble practice, with a passion for nurturing collaborative, industry-ready performers. She continues to develop original work for stage and screen alongside her academic practice.
