Lissie Carlile

Principal Lecturer - Spine

Lissie’s research and practice focus on feminist performance, ecocriticism, and queer theory. With over a decade of experience as a performer and creative facilitator, she specialises in devised theatre that critically engages with contemporary social and environmental issues. Through practice-based research, her work examines questions of identity & representation and explores innovative creative methodologies.

At Performers College, Lissie is committed to supporting students in developing their individual interests and critical perspectives. She encourages them to explore the role of the performing arts within broader social contexts and to recognise the potential of creative practice as a catalyst for reflection, dialogue, and change.
